It has been an interesting year with the Government making a mess of the Excise Relief 90% going to support imports and foreign Countries, it defies belief that there is eny sort of comittment on their part except to get votes from some media with a headline 'that we are meeting our targets' and the famous one from the Minister for Agriculture' that we are supporting indigenous Agricultural Industry' but never said what country wherther it is Ukraine or South America, but it definitely was not Ireland. We have secured many new clients under contract to grow the crop for the coming year. The orice has gone up considerable from last year to € 240-260 per tonne, this will in turn push the price of the fuel up to around €0.80-0.90 cent for the coming year, also the price of the cake which is an animal feed to about € 180-200 per tonne. We need to get more investment in the research of obtaining higher yields of seed and oil pre Hectare. We are now agents for a conversion Kit from a German company it is electronic automatic and reasonable trouble free.We have been approved by Sustainable Energy Ireland (SEI) to grant aid vehicles to 45% of the total cost.We have a depot open in Carlow town at John Devoy's and are opening one in Kilkenny city shortly, this will give the travelling public a more easy access to the fuel.We are installing a burner that will burn the cake mixed with grain and straw this coming Autumn.
